Business Analyst Express-Scripts St. Louis, MO Contract: July 2015 – 2/1/2016

• Created ETL packages using SSIS

• Worked with SSMS, ColdFusion, Oracle, Teradata and more (details, see my online resume, address below)

• Wrote SQL queries including update-, insert-, delete- and complex join- queries. Updated Stored Procedures for new requirements.

• Assisted with moving the Department's workflow management tool to its own servers. Used SSIS (VS2010) and ColdFusion to accomplish this.

• Analyzed application, identified database objects and reports that needed to be moved/updated. Ran regression tests to ensure quality. Documented processes, assisted users with getting access to the new system.

Application Specialist, GBS Corp., St. Louis, MO 01/2014 – 10/2014

• Project: NextGen Hospitals' and Doctors' offices' Software written in MS SQL

Successfully upgraded medical clinics’ software to the current version. Followed strict protocols to upgrade the components of NextGen in the right order, keeping in mind each clinic’s special circumstances. Clinics purchased different components of NextGen making each environment different. • Upgraded the Test Environment to allow users to use the software and learn the new features

• Upgraded the live (“production”) environment Typically this was a 2-3 month “testing” period

Customization: • Clinics had unique “templates” for the doctor (or staff) to enter data into. • Customized templates, using a built-in Template Editor, including SQL Stored Procedures. • Crystal Reports: Created Crystal Reports for the clinics. Using HL7.

Consultant and Co-owner IMS Inc. St. Louis, MO 1/1989 – 12/2013

• Created Reports for IMS clients using various tools to retrieve data from the SQL database in a format requested by the clients, including SSRS, Excel, Crystal and more.

• Created Reports from TRAVERSE Accounting Software (a SQL, .Net and C# based state-of-the-art business software package).

• Discussed the reporting needs of all clients. Involved gathering requirements, gaining an understanding of their business, and learning what was unique. Provided advice based on 2+ decades of experience.

TRAVERSE, MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio), SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012 and (light) UNIX/Linux work.

Manufacturing Company in Fenton, MO (1998- 2013):

• Supported OSAS software program (written in Business Basic) (1998–2007)

               Supported transition and maintenance of TRAVERSE - see above (2008–2013)

               Several hundred reports that were created in OSAS were re-created in SQL. All data was converted from OSAS to SQL. Once in SQL, created customized SQL Views, then created Excel reports where the data

               source was the SQL Views. This was ongoing due to the fact as “old” reports were converted, the demand

               for new reports continued. When required, used SSRS to create reports

   
 Manufacturing Company, Borden, IN (2000-2010):

• Converted approx. 100 Reports (that had been created in OSAS) to TRAVERSE - requiring that they be in Excel format – utilizing SSRS technology

 
 Service Company, Saint Louis, MO (2000-2010):

• Created dozens of reports (originally had been created in OSAS) in TRAVERSE. This company was bought out by an East Coast company.

• Concurrent with my work at IMS, held role of MIS Director of a high-tech startup company; this has since gone out of business:

• Selected, purchased, set up & configured a WINDOWS based network, including server, scanners, & workstations.

• Wrote the patent application for their product which received enthusiastic reviews

Conducted training classes for AT&T, St. Louis, MO, Webster University, St. Louis, MO, Forest Labs, IBM/Capital One, (in Richmond, VA) and IMS clients.


Prior to 1987:

In Sweden: A career based on my college education; MS Pharmacy.

Worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

First job after graduating from Pharmacist School was as a Book Editor (scientific literature).
